Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the HuntrMap mobile application and web app ("HuntrMap" or the "Service"), operated by David Steinbrede, Dycker Str. 13, 41564 Kaarst, Germany ("HuntrMap", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally permitted to hunt in your jurisdiction to create an account. By registering, you represent that you meet these requirements and hold any licenses or permits required by applicable law. We may suspend or terminate accounts that appear to violate this.
2. The Service
HuntrMap is a mapping, planning, and record-keeping tool for hunters. It helps you manage hunting properties, mark structures (stands, feeders, trails), track weather and wind conditions, optionally connect trail cameras, and log hunt activity. HuntrMap is an aid only. It does not replace your own field knowledge, firearms training, or compliance with hunting and wildlife laws. You remain solely responsible for lawful and safe hunting conduct.
3. Accounts and Security
You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at support@huntrmap.com of any unauthorized use. We may require identity verification and may suspend accounts that show signs of compromise, abuse, or misuse.
4. Free Plan and HuntrMap Pro Subscription
HuntrMap offers a free tier with basic features and a paid subscription, HuntrMap Pro, which unlocks additional features (weather and wind analysis, trail camera integration, unlimited markers and properties, path drawing, journal, sharing, offline maps). Pricing: $4.99 / month or $49.99 / year (in U.S. dollars; taxes added at checkout where applicable).
7-day free trial. New subscribers may receive a 7-day free trial. At the end of the trial, your subscription automatically converts to a paid subscription at the plan you selected, unless you cancel before the trial ends. You can cancel at any time during the trial with no charge.
Payment processors. Subscriptions purchased on the web are processed by Lemon Squeezy (as the merchant of record). Subscriptions purchased on iOS are processed by Apple through the App Store. Subscriptions purchased on Android are processed by Google through Google Play. The applicable processor's terms also apply to your purchase.
5. Auto-Renewal and Cancellation
Subscriptions auto-renew for successive periods (monthly or yearly) until you cancel. You can cancel anytime; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep Pro access until then. Cancel through:
- Web: the Lemon Squeezy customer portal (link in your purchase email).
- iOS: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
- Android: Google Play → Payments & subscriptions.
Deleting your HuntrMap account does not automatically cancel an active subscription with Apple, Google, or Lemon Squeezy — cancel separately there.
6. Refunds
All subscription fees are generally non-refundable except where required by law or the policies of the applicable payment processor. For App Store purchases, refund requests go through Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com). For Google Play, refund requests go through Google. For Lemon Squeezy, contact us at support@huntrmap.com; we review refund requests on a case-by-case basis.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful hunting, poaching, trespass, or violation of state or federal wildlife regulations.
- Upload content you do not have the right to share, or photos of identifiable people without their consent.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, scrape, or interfere with the Service.
- Resell, sublicense, or use the Service on behalf of third parties without permission.
- Abuse, harass, or threaten other users (including users who share a property with you).
8. Hunting and Legal Disclaimers
Informational only. Hunting seasons, bag limits, species classifications, weather forecasts, wind data, and trail-camera readings shown in the Service are provided for informational purposes only. They are sourced from third parties and may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate. Hunting regulations vary by state and may change. Always verify current regulations with your state wildlife agency before hunting. HuntrMap does not provide legal advice.
9. Your Content
You retain ownership of content you submit (property data, notes, photos, journal entries). You grant HuntrMap a limited, non-exclusive license to store, sync, and display this content solely to operate the Service for you. We do not sell your content. When you share a property with another user, you grant that user view or edit access at the level you selected.
10. Third-Party Services
The Service uses third-party providers (including Mapbox for maps, Open-Meteo for weather, Supabase for storage and authentication, RevenueCat for subscription management, Spypoint and Zeiss SECACAM for optional trail-camera integration). Their terms and privacy policies apply to the data they handle. HuntrMap does not control and is not responsible for third-party outages, policy changes, or errors.
11. Availability; No Warranty
We work to keep HuntrMap reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or timely operation. The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of these exclusions may not apply to you.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, HuntrMap and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or hunting-related losses, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability for any claim shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) USD $50. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold HuntrMap harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
14. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from within the Service ("Delete account permanently"). We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these Terms or applicable law. On termination, your access to the Service ends; paid subscriptions are refunded pro-rata only where required by law.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
16. Governing Law; Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Where mandatory consumer-protection laws of your jurisdiction provide greater protection, those protections apply. For U.S. users: you and HuntrMap agree to first attempt to resolve any dispute informally by contacting support@huntrmap.com. If the dispute is not resolved within 60 days, either party may bring an individual action in a court of competent jurisdiction.
No class actions. To the maximum extent permitted by law, disputes must be brought on an individual basis and not as part of any class, consolidated, or representative action.
17. California Consumers
If you reside in California, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) / California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) grant you specific rights regarding personal information. See our Privacy Policy for details on accessing, deleting, and controlling your data, including our "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" position.
